This online class will give you three options of creating beautiful fabric pendants.

The cost of this 24/7, open ended class is $30.00.

Matchbox Shrines

In this class we will be creating lovely little shrines out of matchboxes, both large and small.

Whether they hold words of encouragement, a small gift or just to be given as inspiration these little pieces of art are so intriguing.

The cost of this class is $15.00

Resin Techniques

In this class we will be working with Resin from beginning to end. Measuring, mixing, taking away those pesky bubbles, creating bobbles, links, filling bezels, resin paper, color and more. You will absolutely love resin!!!

Cost of this 24/7, open ended class is just $30.00

ALTERED CABINET CARDS

In this class we will be taking those lovely images of old (or creating our own) and altering them using paint, fabric, lace, sewing, inking, vintage ephemera and more.

The altered images can be used as is or as part of another altered piece.

The cost of this class is $20.00

FLUID CHALKS: BACKGROUNDS & BEYOND

In this class we will be learning all about fluid chalk inks and their versatility.

I use fluid chalks in almost every piece of artwork that I create and love the options that they give me.

The cost of this six lesson video course is $20.00. As always, the class is open ended so you can work at your own pace.

FABRIC FLOWERS

In this class we will be creating several different types of fabric flowers to adorn your creations with.

Composition Journal

Upcyle the ordinary composition notebooks into something beautiful to keep for yourself or give as a gift.

EMBELLISHED TAGS

I love creating tags by altering shipping tags that you can find at any office suppy store. The tags we will create can be as flat or dimensional as you would like and they are perfect to adorn gifts or your home/studio.

MAIL ART

Let's create some fun, funky and functional mail art - both dimensional and flat.

Keeper of Secrets & Dreams Altered Tin & Booklet

Metal tins, those holders of mysteries and keepers of secrets and dreams, seem to draw me in. Then comes the excitement of opening the little lid. Will there be a treasure, a love note or a small booklet tucked inside?

We will be creating our own little keeper of secrets and dreams in this class by altering and aging a tin with vintage images or tin types, ephemera, mica and findings. Then we will create the perfect little secret and dream journal with pages of paper, fabric, decorative stitching and lace to be tucked inside. Don’t sew? Don’t worry! We are not going to be concerned with finished edges but rather the use of beautiful stitches to enhance our page. Here are the particulars of the class:

ALTERED BOOK OF RELIQUARIES CLASS

I created this class several years ago to teach at a private studio. That class was never taught because there were issues that came up with my mother-in-law, the weather (it was scheduled for winter) and then the economic downturn. With all of these happenings this class has been patiently waiting for its time to shine and I believe this is it.

I had thought about teaching this class at a retreat but with some of the dynamics of the class I feel it is better suited for an online class where there is no set time period to complete your creation.

Your Altered Book of Reliquaries masterpiece will be created from the humble beginnings of a large children’s board book, well two of them to be exact. We will transfer them into a large book that holds your most precious items, thoughts, images and writings. Within the pages we will be creating niches, or reliquaries, to protect and showcase these well loved treasures.

You will learn how to prepare the books for altering, how to cover the pages with color and texture using many techniques including chalk inks, gesso, fabrics and more, we will be creating our niches by cutting through multiple pages of the books and you will learn how to enhance the edges, you will create a fabric book covering and will learn how to use vintage hardware to create a “handle” or sorts. So many more tidbits and short lessons will be gathered here and I believe you will really love creating one of these lovely altered books.

ALTERED CANVAS CLASS

In this class we will be altering canvases using a variety of techniques, vintage ephemera, images and more.

ALTERED CUFFS

In this altered cuff class I will be showing you two ways to create these wonderful artistic accessories. We will go from creating Ruth Rae's resin bobbles, altering fabrics using various means and then putting them together to create your own one of a kind cuffs. Recession priced at $35.00.

The next class that will be going live on the site will be The Steampunk Shrine. This has been one of my favorite classes to teach and it is being retired from the retreat circuit.

As I stated earlier this group has been created to help lighten the financial burden to my family while bringing more affordable art to those here on the site who want it.
